Approximately 35 million Americans wear dentures and use denture cream. Most are unaware of the potential health hazards posed by the zinc ingredient in these products. Research indicates that several types of denture adhesive products containing the mineral zinc, including POLIGRIP and FIXODENT, may pose a hazard to you. Denture cream zinc may adversely impact your health and create a copper deficiency in your body.

Denture cream manufacturers failed to warn consumers that their products are potentially toxic and can cause serious neurological problems, including neuropathy. Denture creams such as Fixodent have been linked to serious side effects, including:
